I've had about 612 people fall asleep on my on the subway, but yep - never had anyone dead on me. (drunk/drugged and passed out I assume does not count).
i have this story in my head, see, where everything moves between this kind of thing and reality. in one shot, everything is decayed and rotten, in the next shot, it's back to normal. it's like silent hill, but faster. maybe i'll get around to drawing some of these in panels....
Was this done on your computery digital paint pad thing? So cool that it looks like a wood block print. Or: so cool that it is a wood block print. I can't tell; I'm no connoisseur.

I've been fortunate enough never to have had someone fall asleep on me on the bus. Or expire!! :D

As long as the name of our transportation isn't Blaine...

it's not blaine... but it could be one of blaine's cousins... and you know how madness is hereditary.
this is done in SAI, with the wacom. which is a heck of a lot easier and cleaner than woodblock printing.
heh... not a connoisseur... but are you post-modern? that's what counts, ya know. ;)
This quote, from Hearts In Atlantis, in which line I have just read, and which summoned your image to my mind:
"If I die in a combat zone, bag me up and ship me home. If I die in a state of sin, close Your eyes and take me in. Yeah. Amen."
One of your best images... `course, I can't get enough skellingtons. Exspecially the doting kinds.
All 'back of the bus' and sh*t...
